Elizabeth Robberechts is a Lead Investment Officer in the IIC’s Infrastructure and Energy Division, based in Washington, D.C. Her focus is on the origination and structuring of financings for utility-scale renewable energy projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. For three years, Elizabeth was based in the IDB Group’s office in Santiago, Chile, where she met with dozens of renewable energy developers and witnessed first-hand the dramatic evolution of the solar sector. She has experience in the origination and negotiation of financings for energy projects utilizing wind, PV solar, concentrated solar and geothermal technologies, with a recent emphasis on PV solar financings in Chile, Uruguay and Brazil. Since 2012, Elizabeth has participated in the financing of five PV solar projects in Latin America, including the first project financing of a PV solar project in Chile, as well as the structuring of financing for solar projects exposed to merchant risk. Elizabeth speaks Spanish and English and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Cornell University.

Partho Sanyal, Managing Director in Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Latin America Investment Banking Group, has approx 19 years of investment and merchant banking experience at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and has worked in over 25 countries. He joined the Firm in 2001 and has spent much of his time covering the broader infrastructure sector - including power generation and distribution, water and wastewater, electric transmission, renewable energy and waste and environmental services. Since 2013, Partho assumed responsibility for covering the Utilities and Industrials sectors in Latin America.
Partho has experience with advisory, capital raising and structured finance transactions. Since 2001, Partho has been involved in over 80 capital markets transactions that have raised approximately $100 billion in capital. Craig currently serves as the Director of Business Development – Renewable Energy within the Project and Structured Finance Division. Craig works closely with renewable energy exporters, international customers, and project developers to create “Bankable” project structures. Craig began his career at the Bank in January 1993, as the Loan Officer for the Middle East and North Africa, was appointed as the Bank’s Environmental Liaison Officer in 1994, and also served as a Director for International Business Development from 1998-2008, where he covered the Asia Pacific and Latin America Regions. In 2008, he created the Bank’s Renewable Energy Business Development Initiative. In the 5 years since this Initiative was launched the Bank has authorized over $2 billion in support of renewable energy exports. In addition to his position at the Bank, Craig has served as an Adjunct Professor of International Business, and International Project Finance at Georgetown University since 1997.

Then, three years ago, I joined as investment manager ENGIE Rassembleurs d’Energies, ENGIE’s corporate impact venture fund, which invests in profitable, local enterprises providing B to C, sustainable and relevant energy access solutions to poor and remote populations. By the end of 2016, 5 years after its creation, the fund has achieved 18 investments on 4 continents, covering a wide scope of activities, ranging from access to electricity through solar solutions, to access to clean cooking solutions or to energy efficiency Today, in charge of Latin America, I represent the fund in Boards of Directors of two young companies engaged in the energy services to the Base of Pyramid in Mexico (home solar system for off-grid populations and biogas solutions for small farmers). Michael Ott, Vice President, is a member of the North American Renewable Power Team within BlackRock's Infrastructure Investment Group. He is responsible for sourcing and executing new equity investments for the Global Renewable Power Fund platform and supporting existing renewable power portfolio investments.
Prior to joining BlackRock in 2015, Mr. Ott was a member of both the equity sales and project financing teams at EDF Renewable Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Electricite de France S.A. At EDF, Mr. Ott was responsible for managing the company's sell-side relationships for utility scale wind and solar power asset sales and project financing for one the largest North American renewable power developers. Mr. Ott began his career in 2007 in structured finance and fund compliance at Sidley Austin LLP and Citadel Investment Group in New York.

With more than 22 years of experience in the Mexican energy sector, Hector Olea has actively participated in the promotion and development of renewable energy in the country. Since 2004, Hector Olea is President and CEO of Gauss, a business development firm specialized in the energy sector. Gauss activities are focused in the identification, development and structuring investment opportunities in renewable energy projects, which accounts for more than US$700 million in greenfield projects. Before, he acted as CEO of Suez in Mexico, where he led its transformation into a nationwide energy company. From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Olea acted as Chairman of the Mexican Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE). He is President of the Asociación Mexicana de Energía Solar Fotovoltaica (Asolmex) and Chairman of the Mexican Section of the Mexico--‐US Business Energy Council. Greg has closed more than 20 project financings and has worked in both project finance and development roles in Latin America, Asia, Australia, India, North Africa and the US on the successful development of wind, solar, geothermal and biomass projects as well as other utility and natural gas infrastructure.

In 2013 he was appointed as Sales Director of Emerging Markets (LATAM and MEA). As per new strategy of Jinko management, in July 2015 he was appointed as a General Manager Latam and Italy to lead a team of high professional managers in 7 countries across the region. Before joining Acumen, he was the Executive Director of the non-profit Social Investment Bank (Banca de Inversión Social), which has helped lead the development of the impact investing space in Colombia. Mathias Möhrpahl has more than 8 years experience in the LATAM & international financial and consulting sector. For the last years, he has been working at Ficus Capital, one of the leading pure focus investment banking boutiques in the Southern cone of Latin America, with full transaction execution and project development capabilities in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and other LATAM countries. He has worked on and lead several transactions in the renewable energy, food & beverage, transport and financial service sector in countries such as Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil.
Currently, he is strongly involved in renewable energy deal structurings and project developments in Argentina, where Ficus Capital has recently established a new office.
Prior to that, Mathias Möhrpahl has acted as Director for Asset Management and Financial Institutions with a principle focus on the identification and the funding of different investments as well as managing the operations and the cross-border information flows and decision making processes, mostly between German and Nordic institutions and their subsidiaries in Chile.
Mathias holds a MSc. in Economics from the University of London, UK and has studied Economics in Cologne and Kiel, Germany.

Between 2005 and 2013, Carlos was an investment banker in New York City first with Merrill Lynch and later with Rothschild, where he focused on cross-border mergers & acquisitions. Carlos began his career at McKinsey & Company in the Corporate Finance Practice. He has an MBA from Georgetown University and a Masters from Université Libre de Bruxelles.

Laura serves as the Program Adviser for GOGLA’s ‘Facilitating Access to Finance’ program. Prior to joining GOGLA, Laura worked at Arc Finance, where she oversaw staff training and consumer education efforts related to consumer financing for energy products and services, and led Arc Finance’s conferences and workshops on innovations in financing off-grid clean energy. Laura holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of St Andrews, as well as a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbia University.

Previously, Markus was Vice-President of Sales Operations and Director of Crystallization and Wafering for Q-Cells SE in Germany and spent 7 years with McKinsey & Company in Berlin, São Paulo and Detroit, specializing on strategy and transformation projects for automotive and high-tech clients.
