Partho Sanyal, Managing Director in Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Latin America Investment Banking Group, has approx 19 years of investment and merchant banking experience at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and has worked in over 25 countries. He joined the Firm in 2001 and has spent much of his time covering the broader infrastructure sector - including power generation and distribution, water and wastewater, electric transmission, renewable energy and waste and environmental services. Since 2013, Partho assumed responsibility for covering the Utilities and Industrials sectors in Latin America.
Partho has experience with advisory, capital raising and structured finance transactions. Since 2001, Partho has been involved in over 80 capital markets transactions that have raised approximately $100 billion in capital. His experience includes the €4.5 bn IPO of Iberdrola Renovables, €1.6 bn IPO of EDP Renovaveis, €2.3 bn IPO of Enel Green Power, the $431 mm IPO of NRG Yield and the $828 mm IPO of Abengoa Yield and capital raises for CPFL Energia, Renova Energia, Ameresco, Invenergy, US Geothermal, Clean Energy Fuels, Fuel Systems Solutions, Fulcrum Bioenergy, Abengoa, TAESA, Rotoplas, Aguas Andinas, Pampa Energia, and Covanta.
Prior to joining Merrill Lynch & Co., Partho spent approx. 5 years at the World Bank Group, where he focused on advising Governments around the world on privatizations of their infrastructure assets in emerging markets.

HECTOR OLEA /// PRESIDENT & CEO - GAUSS ENERGIA
With more than 22 years of experience in the Mexican energy sector, Hector Olea has actively participated in the promotion and development of renewable energy in the country. Since 2004, Hector Olea is President and CEO of Gauss, a business development firm specialized in the energy sector. Gauss activities are focused in the identification, development and structuring investment opportunities in renewable energy projects, which accounts for more than US$700 million in greenfield projects. Before, he acted as CEO of Suez in Mexico, where he led its transformation into a nationwide energy company. From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Olea acted as Chairman of the Mexican Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE). He is President of the Asociación Mexicana de Energía Solar Fotovoltaica (Asolmex) and Chairman of the Mexican Section of the Mexico--‐US Business Energy Council. He is an economist from ITAM (Mexico) and an earned his Master and PhD in Economics at Rice University (US). In 1989, he was distinguished with the Banamex Economics Award.

Laura serves as the Program Adviser for GOGLA’s ‘Facilitating Access to Finance’ program. The objective of the program is to help increase investments in the sector that will allow it to scale up and accelerate the development of the off-grid market, leading to more people benefiting from clean, sustainable and economically viable off-grid lighting and electrification. Prior to joining GOGLA, Laura worked at Arc Finance, where she oversaw staff training and consumer education efforts related to consumer financing for energy products and services, and led Arc Finance’s conferences and workshops on innovations in financing off-grid clean energy. Laura holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of St Andrews, as well as a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbia University.

Craig currently serves as the Director of Business Development – Renewable Energy within the Project and Structured Finance Division. Craig works closely with renewable energy exporters, international customers, and project developers to create “Bankable” project structures. Craig began his career at the Bank in January 1993, as the Loan Officer for the Middle East and North Africa, was appointed as the Bank’s Environmental Liaison Officer in 1994, and also served as a Director for International Business Development from 1998-2008, where he covered the Asia Pacific and Latin America Regions. In 2008, he created the Bank’s Renewable Energy Business Development Initiative. In the 5 years since this Initiative was launched the Bank has authorized over $2 billion in support of renewable energy exports. In addition to his position at the Bank, Craig has served as an Adjunct Professor of International Business, and International Project Finance at Georgetown University since 1997.

Sarah Chapman is the CEO and Co-Founder of Faro Energy, which sources, develops, and finances clean energy systems for commercial and industrial customers in Latin America and the Caribbean. Sarah’s experience includes renewable energy finance and global climate policy. As start-up Chief of Staff for the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate, she built a coalition of world leaders, global institutions and researchers to analyse and communicate the economics of climate change. At Climate Bridge, Sarah led renewable energy structured finance transactions in London, and subsequently launched Climate Bridge’s Australia business. She started her career at McKinsey & Company, and holds a BA and MMath in Mathematics from Cambridge. She was named one of the “35 under 35” top businesswomen in the UK in 2015.

Robert is a Director at Developing World Markets (DWM), a leading global impact investment fund, where he is responsible for private debt transactions within the Latin America region for the firm.
Prior to joining DWM, Robert worked for Citigroup, where he was responsible for the origination, structuring, negotiation, and execution of structured finance transactions for corporate and sovereign borrowers throughout Latin America, in sectors such as oil & gas, renewables, transportation infrastructure, and financial institutions.
Robert earned his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and holds an M.Sc. from the Universidad Torcuato di Tella in Argentina, where he studied as a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Wisconsin with a B.A. in Economics, and is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese.

John is a partner and Managing Director of IPD Latin America, a U.S. based independent energy consultancy specializing in above the ground risk in the oil and gas industries in Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela. John has been directly involved in the company's expansion into Mexico in 2001, Colombia in 2009 and Peru in 2013. After 20 years in New York, John relocated and has been based in Bogota, Colombia since April 2011. John’s ten years of Wall Street experience in structured energy and infrastructure financing and deal-making add a unique perspective to IPD’s consulting services. He directs a range of consulting efforts at IPD, including its due diligence practice, forecasting, and other strategic client-oriented efforts.

Abraham Cambridge is a British born solar entrepreneur and disruptive technologist and has established multiple businesses and projects around the world that use solar energy as a means for creating positive change. In 2010 he pioneered utility-scale solar in Britain and in 2012 one of his businesses, The Renewable Energy Co-operative, was nominated 'International Co-operative of The Year' in the United Nations Year of Co-operatives. Abe now lives in Africa, a continent rich in sunlight but poor in energy and from where in 2014 he launched the world’s first blockchain based solar finance company, The Sun Exchange.

Mathias Möhrpahl has more than 8 years experience in the LATAM & international financial and consulting sector. For the last years, he has been working at Ficus Capital, one of the leading pure focus investment banking boutiques in the Southern cone of Latin America, with full transaction execution and project development capabilities in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and other LATAM countries. He has worked on and lead several transactions in the renewable energy, food & beverage, transport and financial service sector in countries such as Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil.
Currently, he is strongly involved in renewable energy deal structurings and project developments in Argentina, where Ficus Capital has recently established a new office.
Prior to that, Mathias Möhrpahl has acted as Director for Asset Management and Financial Institutions with a principle focus on the identification and the funding of different investments as well as managing the operations and the cross-border information flows and decision making processes, mostly between German and Nordic institutions and their subsidiaries in Chile.
Mathias holds a MSc. in Economics from the University of London, UK and has studied Economics in Cologne and Kiel, Germany.
